Distinguish between Training and Development. How is organizations gained from training?

Training: Training is the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and competencies as a result of the teaching of vocational or practical skills and knowledge that relate to specific useful competencies. Training has specific goals of improving one's capability, capacity, productivity and performance. It forms the core of apprenticeships and provides the backbone of content at institutes of technology.//

Development:Development initiatives center on enhancing capabilities associated with current roles as well as preparing people for future responsibilities. As with training, there is a focus on positive change in knowledge and skills, but unlike training where the emphasis is usually on well-organized, short-term learning opportunities with specific, immediate outcomes, development centers on more gradual, less-structured, experience-based learning over time.
